On Monday 31st I’m going to be welcoming this big boy into my little clan 😍
His name is DHI Classical Dancer. Danny for short. He is a 10 year old, Dutch Warmblood Gelding.
He has competed up to Medium level and placed at both Regionals and Nationals. He is trained upto PSG with the ability to do some Grand Prix movements.
I have been riding him for the last 12 months for his owners and now he is coming to live with me! 🎉😀 literally can not stop smiling!
We will spend the winter in training as he hasn’t done much in the sense of ‘proper work’ for the last few months, he’s over endulged on summer grass and certainly isn’t at his fittest. We will work on his fitness over winter with regular training and clinics and we should hopefully be out to compete in 2018. We will aim to compete in Elementary Gold as he can’t compete in the lower classes because of his points at National level. Hopefully moving on Medium bronze after a few runs out at Elementary if everything goes okay! 💪
Last year when the Olympics were on I set myself a big goal: my goal is to ride down the centre line in a Top Hat and Tails (Advanced level) by the time Toyko hold the Olympics in 2020. This has seemed like a very far fetched goal since I’ve set it as I haven’t got a horse that has the potential to compete at that level, certainly not in the 2 1/2 year window that is left. Danny might just be the hidden little gem that makes this dream happen if we work hard 😃😃
Having overcome a very negative mindset myself, I now feel passionate about helping others to overcome theirs.
Over the last couple of years I have spent a lot of time researching the benefits and importance that having a positive mindset creates on us all as individuals. So I've launched this blog to share with you some great tips, tricks and words of wisdom that I have picked up along the way that has helped me throughout my journey of a achieving a positive and motivated mindset.
Whether your struggling with a complete negative mindset, battling with negative thoughts or feel as though your constantly fighting with that annoying negative little voice in your head that has the power of talking you out of doing just about anything if you let him (don't worry we all have him!).
Whether you feel like your stuck in a rut within your life. Be it within your career, a friendship, a relationship, financially or any other place you feel stuck and unable to move forward in life.
Or maybe you lack self belief, self worth and confidence in your ability to achieve. Do you knock yourself down? Do you talk badly about yourself? Do you say you can't do something before you've even tried? Maybe you fear failure or the thought of not being good enough.
Then this blog is for you.
I hope that through this blog I can help to motivate you, inspire you and make you believe in yourself again. I'd like to help you realise that you are good enough for all those things you've doubted yourself over and you can do all those things that you've said you can't do.
I may not please everybody and that is absolutely fine but if I could motivate, inspire and make just one person believe in themselves again by restoring their self belief and worth then I'd be more than happy.
